Bachelor of Science Program

Bachelor of Science in Biology

How does the human body work? How do organisms interact? How did life come to be? If you are fascinated by complex questions such as these, consider pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Post University, online or on our main campus.

Your program explores what it takes to design and conduct experiments, enhance scientific and quantitative reasoning, collect and organize data, and build skills to better communicate and collaborate with others in the scientific community. In addition to exploring scientific principles and fundamentals, such as the scientific process, coursework also covers biology essentials in evolution, genetics, bioenergetics, and more. Our program also lets you customize your degree to your future goals with one of three concentration options:

  • General Biology – Campus and Online
  • Bioinformatics – Campus and Online
  • Health Sciences – Campus Only

During your studies, you will have the opportunity to develop and refine your understanding of scientific principles to:

  • Apply core knowledge for evolution, structure and function, genetics, bioenergetics, and interacting systems
  • Formulate hypotheses, record observations, analyze data, and interpret results
  • Define biological phenomena accurately through quantitative reasoning
  • Describe complex systems and make predictions via models and simulations
  • Communicate and collaborate with other scientific professionals

The Online Bachelor of Science in Biology program is not eligible for Title IV funding through the U.S. Department of Education.

“With science and biology, there are always new things coming out. The field is continually advancing. The biology program is going to provide you with the background knowledge that you could use to be successful in a science position. As soon as we start, we are in the lab, you are learning the technical skills to be able to think like a scientist.”
