Program Objective: To provide you with a comprehensive understanding of early childhood education.
Program Description: In our A.S. in Early Childhood Education, you’ll:
- Apply your knowledge of young children in real-life early childhood education settings by participating in three field experiences
- Learn to formulate a developmentally appropriate approach to the education of young children
- Better understand children with special needs through the preparation of appropriate program plans, which foster positive self-esteem, promote social skills, and develop multicultural awareness
Program Outcomes: Upon graduation, you will receive an Associate degree and be fully prepared to successfully implement developmentally effective approaches to curriculum and instruction that are research-based, culturally sensitive, appropriate for each and every child, and incorporate the children’s family as partners.
